Chinese cuisine has consistently ranked as one of the world’s outstanding culinary traditions. In this lecture, Prof. Adrian Tien, Sam Lam Associate Professor in Chinese Studies (Linguistics) at Trinity College Dublin presents a simple yet in-depth introduction to the world of Chinese cuisine, examining selected cultural dimensions of this culinary tradition and especially focusing on words and phrases in the language that refer to or describe aspects of this tradition.
