OPENING CEREMONY PRESENTED WITH KILDARE VILLAGE

Ireland’s Chinese community has deeply-held, long-running associations with Dublin City, so it is fitting that this year’s Chinese New Year celebrations are launched in an iconic landmark at the heart of the city.

The Dublin Fruit & Vegetable Market, soon to be redeveloped, will be transformed with light and colour to welcome the Year of the Rat and the beginning of a new zodiac cycle. Guests are invited to attend a special reception, ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebratory spectacle performance.

Dublin Chinese New Year Festival, an initiative of Dublin City Council, is delighted to collaborate with long-standing festival supporter Kildare Village for this very exciting event to kickstart Dublin’s Chinese New Year festivities.
