The Year of the Dog offers a great opportunity to reflect on the role of ‘man’s best friend’ in Irish society, as well as Chinese. At this special event, writer of The Curious History of Irish Dogs David Blake Knox will shed light on the nine breeds of dog native to Ireland and the unique roles that each have played in Irish history. Blake Knox will be joined by Dublin-based Chinese artist Angela Wang, who will created live illustrations inspired by the talk.”
